Intelligent Reasoning

Promoting, advancing and defending Intelligent Design via data, logic and Intelligent Reasoning and exposing the alleged theory of evolution as the nonsense it is. I also educate evotards about ID and the alleged theory of evolution one tard at a time and sometimes in groups

Of internet balls and beer balls

During my drinking days (daze) it was observed that the more one had to drink (to a point) the more courage one would get- no inhibitions.

Now it seems the same is true of the internet. People who use the inetrnet get courage from the fact that they are hiding in front of some computer monitor.

IOW they say and do things that they would never say or do in someone's company. They are gutless wonders with internet balls.

Myself, on the other hand, would love the opportunity to tell people to their faces exactly what I tell them on the internet. And I would also love for them to do the same to me.

That way we could see natural selection in action!

I love a good science experiment. Any takers?

Why are there evolutionists?

Why are there evolutionists? It appears that not one can defend the position. IOW it appears that the position of evolutionist rests almost entirely on faith.

Sure we see natural selection in action but everything we observe in biology just leads to wobbling stability.

The challenge would be to provide any biological/ genetic data that demonstrates a population can get through that wobbling stability. However it is a given that no such data will be provided.

Take blipey for example. The best it can do is to say that the vast majority of scientists accept it so that is good enough for it. But blipey is nothing but a clown- meaning it has a diminished capacity for dealing with reality. To it reality = drivel. That much is confirmed by its posts in my blog. My guess is that is why it chooses to be an evolutionist.

Dr Theobald tries to make a Scientific Case for Common Descent, yet he doesn't mention a mechanism and his "evidences" can also be used to support a Common Design. IOW his "evidences" are very subjective and can neither be objectively tested nor verified as being exclusive to Common Descent.

A critique of Theobald's evidences.

I used to be part of that lot but then I grew up and actually looked at reality. And reality demonstrates that no one even knows if the transformations required (if life's diversity arose from one or a few populations of single-celled organisms) are even possible.

The only defense of the theory is to try to discredit anyone who speaks out against it. That alone should tell most objective people that the theory is nonsense.

Mike Keohan- Where's the outrage?

Mike Keohan died in LA, CA on January 29,2007- while in police custody.

He was TASERed 3 times!

He was beaten. Autopsy has been released but not the police report. No cameras- the cop's dashboard cam was (allegedly) not working. He was driving his Lexus in LA. He appeared disoriented- he waited at a green light and then at the next red light got out of his car and approached the car in front of him.

Mike (allegedly) resisted arrest. No one has said what he was under arrest for- leaving his vehicle to ask directions?

Mike Keohan was an overweight middle-aged white guy. He was a graduate of Villanova.
On TV he was referred to as a "petrified piece of wood"- Mike took 3rd place in a recent World Poker tournament. It was broadcast on the Travel Channel.

He was the calm in the eye of the storm type of guy. He was reason when none was to be found.

Oh yeah- his body was unusually warm at the time of the autopsy, meaning he was most likely running a fever, which would account for any disorientation.

Nothing in his system except for minute amounts of THC- nanogram level, meaning a very casual toker. And only on "Refer Madness" did dope lead to rage.

I knew Mike Keohan- he was a good guy, but he was white and overweight (sarcasm). I guess that is a crime punishable by death once you are in LA.

Where's the outrage? Sorry Mike you were just another Mic/ Wop American mutt. Nobody cares about whitebread anymore...

Where's the OUTRAGE?

Red Shirt Fridays- Support our troops! (off topic)

Another email:

If the Red shirt thing is new to you, read below...
Last week, while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a Marine sergeant traveling with a folded flag, but did not put two and two together.
After we boarded our flight, I turned to the sergeant, who'd been invited to sit in First Class (across from me), and inquired if he was heading home.
No, he responded.
Heading out I asked?
No. I'm escorting a soldier home.
Going to pick him up?
No. He is with ! me right now. He was killed in Iraq; I'm taking him home to his family.
The realization of what he had been asked to do hit me like a punch to the gut. It was an honor for him. He told me that, although he didn't know the soldier, he had delivered the news of his passing to the soldier's family and felt as if he knew them after many conversations in so few days.
I turned back to him, extended my hand, and said, Thank you. Thank you for doing what you do so my family and I can do what we do.
Upon landing in Chicago the pilot stopped short of the gate and made the following announcement over the intercom.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to note that we have had the honor of having Sergeant Steeley of the United States Marine Corps join us on this flight. He is escorting a fallen comrade back home to his family. I ask that you please remain in your seats when we open the forward door to allow Sergeant Steeley to deplane and receive his fellow soldier. We will then turn off the seat belt sign."
Without a sound, all went as requested. I noticed the sergeant saluting the casket as it was brought off the plane, and his action made me realize that I am proud to be an American.
So here's a public Thank You to our military Men and Women for what you do so we can live the way we do. Red Fridays. Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority." We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.
Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that ... every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something red.
By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once "silent" majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on.
The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make things better for you?" is. "We need your support and your prayers." Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something red every Friday.

Common Descent, science and empiricism

I have been asked (many times) whether or not I accept Common Descent- that is the premise that all of the diversity of living organisms on this planet (extant and extinct) share a common ancestor. Although I do not categorically deny the premise it is obvious that it is not a scientific premise. I will explain why:

Common Descent has never been observed- not even in the fossil record. The premise cannot even be tested via experiment because of the eons of time that are required.

Heck we can't even conduct an experiment that would show that a population of flagella-less bacteria can "evolve" a flagellum.

And in the end we still can't account for the physiological and anatomical differences observed between alleged closely related species such as chimps and humans. No one knows whether or not any mechanism can account for them. You would figure that with such an alleged degree of similarity in genomes that those differences would be easy to flesh out. Yet still nothing but silence on this issue.

Ya see THAT is the main problem with Common Descent- it needs to account for those differences yet it doesn't even attempt to.
